OVERINDULGENCE

FTS Gallery is excited to present its next art exhibition: "Overindulgence."  This group show will feature many talented artists both local and from abroad.  

OVERINDULGENCE


1. An act of overindulging; indulgence in too much; pleasure or consumption taking in excess of what is satisfying or necessary.

A capitalist society can be seen as overindulgent by nature.  Our culture prides itself on overindulgence, whether it is by the superfluous consumption of food and drink, or individuals finding themselves unable to settle craving for power, sex, or technology.  Is this a rite of passage for the privilege of having free will?  Or is it a selfish condition in need of examination?  The morality behind overindulgence is subjective.  Good or bad, right or wrong— the featured artists will be examining this theme as it pertains to their own experiences.

Opening reception is Friday October 14th from 5pm until midnight.  Complimentary wine, cheese and other refreshments including a special treat to fit the evenings theme will be served.  There is no fee for admission and all are invited to attend.  See you at the show!
